NY Times: Calorie Detective

Here’s an interesting piece from the New York Times in regards to actual calories in food vs. the declared calories by companies. Most foods tested had higher actual values than declared values for calories. One example (a tofu wrap) had twice the amount of calories compared to the advertised amount. Just another reason why calorie counting is not the only thing to focus on. (Besides that fact that eating packaged foods with labels is not your best option anyway)
