I started CrossFit in Jan 2008 doing 95# deadlifts. It was over a year that I did my first CrossFit Total (max back squat, shoulder press, and deadlift) and I got a 655 (225 squat, 115 press, 315 deadlift) and I’m sure that squat depth was shady. I always thought it would be cool yet impossible to join the 1000 club, but 5 years later I did it! Don’t be discouraged if you don’t PR every day or even every year. Keep getting strong and the gains will come.
